FAQs

Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the NÖ Bergerlebnispass.

Where can I buy the NÖ Bergerlebnispass?

The NÖ Bergerlebnispass is available on site at participating ski areas (exception: Königsberg is not a sales point) and in some of their web shops.

go to sellers

Do the previous season-pass products of the individual ski areas still exist?

The season-pass products of recent years are partly being replaced by the NÖ Bergerlebnispass“. The former pass networks “Skiland Voralpen” (Annaberger Lifte, Gemeindealpe Mitterbach, Bürgeralpe Mariazell) and the “Ybbstaler Alpen Wintercard” (Hochkar Bergbahnen, Ötscherlifte, Maiszinken, Königsberg) are being merged—together with Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen, Semmering Hirschenkogel, and Wexl Arena St. Corona am Wechsel—into the new season-pass network “NÖ Bergerlebnispass“.”

How many NÖ Bergerlebnispass are available in the Super Pre-Sale?

15,000 passes are available in the Super Pre-Sale.

Can I load the NÖ Bergerlebnispass onto an existing keycard?

Yes, but only onto existing Bergerlebnispass keycards from the previous year. To use the pass fully, a special data carrier (keycard) is required.

Therefore, loading it onto a different keycard isn’t possible.

The deposit for a new keycard is €5.00.

You can return working old keycards on your next visit to the respective ski area. Use your new NÖ Bergerlebnispass again next year!

How long is the presale price valid?

There are two presale periods: the Super Presale with the Family Bonus runs each year until 31 October. The Presale (without Family Bonus) runs until 30 November. From 1 December, regular rates apply.

In which winter sports areas is the NÖ Bergerlebnispass valid?

It is valid as a season pass at the mountain railways and lift operators listed above under “Ski resorts.”

Is the NÖ Bergerlebnispass transferable?

No. The NÖ Bergerlebnispass is not transferable.

What is a family household?

The Family Bonus can be used by families living in the same household, by grandparents with grandchildren (proof: birth certificates), and by parents who receive family allowance for their children. For children up to their 16th birthday (when buying 2 adult passes) or up to their 11th birthday (when buying 1 adult pass), the Family Bonus can be used during the Super Pre-Sale. The relevant date is the purchase date.

From when to when is the NÖ Bergerlebnispass valid?

The pass is valid from the first operating day of the winter season at any participating ski area until the last operating day of the winter season at any participating ski area. You can find operating dates on the ski resorts’ websites.

With the Bergerlebnispass, your season is effectively extended.

I forgot/lost my NÖ Bergerlebnispass. What do I do now?

Go straight to the ticket desk of any participating ski area. Your pass will be blocked and a new pass issued, for a processing fee of €25 plus a €5 deposit for the keycard.

Disability discount

People with a disability of 70% or more (ID required) receive the reduced adult/child rate (about 50% off the full price). If a companion is listed on the disability ID, or in the case of 100% disability, the companion receives a free area-specific day ticket. Proof of disability must be copied/scanned and provided for billing.

I can’t ski for the rest of the season due to illness/injury. What should I do?

Please note: the date you return the ski pass determines any refund. Any refunds are goodwill gestures and do not create a legal claim for the future.

  • Refunds are only granted for injuries related to ski accidents or for illness — a specialist’s medical certificate or accident report and the NÖ Bergerlebnispass must be presented immediately.
  • No refund is possible if the card has already been used on 10 days or more.
  • For each ski day used, the following amount is deducted: Adult €50 / Child €30.
  • No refunds if the pass was used after 28 February.
  • No refunds after 1 April.
  • If an adult pass is returned, any child passes issued free in combination must also be returned. For paid child passes, returning them is optional. A possible second adult pass cannot be refunded in this context.

Refunds for unused season passes

If the season pass was not used at all during the season due to injury or illness, the purchase price will be refunded. A €25 processing fee applies. Otherwise, the same conditions as above apply.

Can I get to the ski area by public transport?

Many participating mountain railways are accessible by bus or train.

Are there any additional benefits or inclusions?

Included are night skiing at Hochkar and Semmering, and ski touring at Ötscher, Annaberg, Mitterbach, and Mariazell.

Any questions?

We are happy to answer any questions and provide information about the new NÖ Bergerlebnispass.
